MEET OUR DOCTORS

Owner | Veterinarian
Dr. Conover
Dr. Ward Conover is a dedicated and experienced veterinarian who has been caring for animals large and small for over three decades. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University before beginning his veterinary career.
After graduating, Dr. Conover started working at a mixed animal practice in Gonzales, treating both large and small animals. He then split his time between two clinics - a small animal clinic in Canyon Lake for three days a week, and a mixed animal practice in Karnes City for the remainder of the week.
In 1997, Dr. Conover fulfilled his dream of opening his own practice, establishing Conover Veterinary Hospital in Seguin. He has been a fixture in the community, providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families. Dr. Conover's lifelong passion for veterinary medicine began at the age of three, and he has never wavered in his commitment to his patients.
Family is very important to Dr. Conover. He and his wife Dianne, who also shares his love of animals, have been happily married for over 30 years. Together they have raised three wonderful children, Erica, Garrett, and Kaleb.
When not treating patients, Dr. Conover enjoys spending his free time fishing and exploring new places with his family!

Veterinarian
Dr. Patterson
Dr. Robert Patterson, a dedicated Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, has been serving the animal community for over 20 years. Born and raised in Midland, Dr. Patterson's passion for veterinary medicine led him to Texas A&M University, graduating in 1998.
After completing his education, Dr. Patterson embarked on a career in large and small animal medicine, practicing in La Grange, San Antonio, and Seguin. His extensive experience has allowed him to provide exceptional care to a wide variety of animals.
When not tending to the needs of his animal patients, Dr. Patterson enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He and his wife, Heather, of nearly 20 years, are proud parents to their daughter, Hannah, who is making strides in the world of 4-H shooting sports.
Dr. Patterson's love for animals extends beyond his professional life, as he also cares for his two bird dogs, Jewels and June, a fine wiener dog, Tater, and a show cat, Oreo. Dr. Patterson enjoys bird hunting with his dogs and working with the local 4-H Shotgun Club.
After over 25 years of practicing veterinary medicine, he still greatly enjoys what he does and views each day as a new challenge.

Veterinarian
Dr. Jansky
Dr. Ieva Romenkova Jansky was born and raised in Ikskile, Latvia where her mom is a veterinarian. Both of her mom’s parents were veterinarians, as well as a great-great-grandfather, so you could say that veterinary medicine runs in her blood.
Dr. Jansky came to Seguin as a Rotary Exchange Student in 2006. Fun fact, the Conover's were one of her host families! She fell in love with Texas, returned to attend Texas A&M University and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences Magna Cum Laude in 2012. She worked at the Texas A&M Gastrointestinal Laboratory for two years, then attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine graduating Cum Laude in May of 2018.

Before joining the Conover Veterinary Hospital team in 2023, she worked in Cuero, Mission, and Corpus Christi following her husband Dusty, who is a Texas Game Warden. Together they have two children, Christopher and Elizabeth.
Dr. Jansky enjoys preventative medicine, internal medicine, triage, soft tissue surgery and is passionate about nutrition and senior pet wellness. She is very thorough and loves educating clients so that they feel they understand their 4-legged family members' medical concerns, treatment and management options.
Outside of work Dr. Jansky loves family time especially outdoors, gardening and when their busy schedule allows, traveling. She is excited to be a part of the Conover Veterinary Hospital family and is looking forward to building lasting relationships in the community!
